A Day at Hooksum Outdoor School with Stephen and Karen Charleson from the House of Kinquashtacumlth of the Hesquiaht First Nation

A “Day at Hooksum Outdoor School” is an opportunity for university and other educational groups to spend the day with us to gain some insight into Hesquiaht worldviews and perspectives on our territories, history and values. A “Day at Hooksum Outdoor School” involves a five-six hour stay at Ayyi'saqh, a welcome and presentation about Hesquiaht traditional territories and our relationships to these territories by Stephen Charleson, a hearty lunch or dinner, and a forest and/or beach tour with Stephen to investigate traditional forestry practices and resource use strategies and their lessons for sustainability.

All class and other visits to Hooksum Outdoor School are by pre-arrangement with Hooksum Outdoor School.
